We are also asking for a voluntary PTA due of $5 per month or $50 for the school year. Dues can be placed in envelopes provided with parent’s and child’s name. If an envelope was not provided with this notice, then you have already made your contribution for the entire school year.

Meet PTA President, Ms. Daniels
The Foster-Lourie Elementary PS397 PTA takes great pleasure in welcoming everyone both new and returning families back to school for the 2024-2025 school year!
The PTA is an organization of parents and teachers of PS397. Our goal is to foster a nurturing and caring environment that strives for continued parent involvement in helping to build a better educational environment for our children. Through membership dues and fundraising efforts, the PTA is able to get funding to assist in the development of our students, parents and school.
For the PTA to be effective and be a true representative of the school, it is essential to have parental involvement from as many parents as possible. We would like to take this opportunity to invite you all to our first PTA meeting for the school year.
Please come prepared to discuss your expectations and how to move forward for the success and development of our school and students.

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you all back to school for our 2024-2025 school year.
For this school year we would like to continue making a difference, have more parent interaction and involvement to see how best we can help our school community. We would like to inform you that PTA meetings are scheduled to be held on the third Wednesday of every month at 6pm via zoom.
